Swinging on a Star

A 
   free
           falling 
                      star

cradled in baby’s breath clouds

rescued by sparrows

nestled in blanket of love

a “healing star”… just for you!

    A beautiful tanka for your sweet son, Gwendolen! I can relate. My dog is a rescue as was my last and just a few weeks ago, my mom and I rescued a baby bird in her yard. Come to find out, mama birds will not reject their babies if humans touch them. (Advice from wildlife rescue. Who knew!) BTW, I love the new "sunny" name. Love and Blessings, Rhonda

    Beautiful Gwennie, you found a soft spot in my heart for critters in difficulty. I happen to love people who have this ability to reach out and salvage or comfort those hurting who can't help themselves. Hooray for Julian too, we need more like him. Hugs to you my sweet! :)

    I see where he gets his heart. Two loveable parents, equals a double dose if love. It lives in this poem!.....yes those are my grandkids. I'm divorcing their parents, because they call me and say that they're bad. In my eyes they can't do no wrong. Lol
