Hope's Window

For her, time stood still that day

---

Each tick of the clock

obsorbed into the sand

to be carried away

by waves of sorrow.

Gone were the vibrant colors

which enriched her being

replaced by the greys

of lost tomorrows

Her window to the heavens

remained in her sight

a sliver of hope

in her darkest night

Her feet soon found perch

on pains rocky shore

as grace lit her path

with healing moonlight

you use the word waves a lot to describe cetain things. its not a problem or anything i am merely curious if you are aware or if its a subconcious thing.

Hope and faith are what we have to quell our fears just like a salve. We live our lives in solemn grace when hearts are heavy and tears stain the face. The sun came out to warm the day. And let us know we'll find our way.

You give so much in your poems Deb, there is a graceful maturity in these lines that have a touch of mystery to satisfy the mind. Loved it so very much!

Hope is eternal, yet seems further out of sight. Lifes only consulation is it's distant peaceful light. To let us know tomorrow's there to bring us home at last. There is no hope in yesterday, just memories that passed.
