Flowers in a garden

Watching the blue, yellow and green flowers in a garden
One can surmise there is a force behind them
The incerdible diversity of life
is a cause for hope
As clouds pass overhead
we are at peace due to a sheltering sky
The delightful odor of jasmine fills the air
A marvelous day is before us
Is there a point to it all?
Perhaps such natural beauty reflects
Somthing beyond mortal understanding

A marvelous poem, Matthew! You are right... there is much that is beyond human understanding. We all should be thankful. Best wishes, Keith

Hello, Matthew, how are you? I will think about that writing.. about your poem.. I've seen much evidence behind all the flowers in my garden.. I don't think we will ever truly understand them or the real force behind the beauty they hold for such a little time.. like to think of it as a hint of life.. of nothing good ever latest... look at Adam & Eve.. that beauty ended faster than winter ruining all the beauty in my garden... enjoyed your poem..... excellent poem, thank you and have yourself a good night~PD

I like the description - it paints a pretty picture of a summer garden. But your question takes us outside the garden to the metaphysical world. Thanks for reading my poems.

Matt, I like how you called this a pastoral form because it gets that feeling across. lovely and reflective!
