WHY DO WE TRY TO FIX OURSELF
Why do we try to fix ourself
We leave Holy Spirit upon a shelf
We think we can do it on our own
We never think to kneel before Gods throne
He is the one who does healing deep
He gives us peace..His peace to keep
We don’t realise that we need to surrender
It’s then we touch His heart gentle and tender
Why do we try to heal ourself
Why do we leave Him on a shelf
With some it’s because of so much fear
Of losing something they hold dear
Bur Father knows..He knows best
He says come to me I will give you rest
Why struggle and strive to heal ourself
Why leave Holy Spirit upon a shelf
Some are ashamed they just want to hide
All of the pain that has built up inside
There are things in their past they don’t want others to see
Although in their hearts they want to be free
Some put on a front they try hard not to be real
They don’t want others to know how they feel
They don’t want others to think they have failed
But if they surrendered they would see love prevail
We do everything to fix ourself
We leave Holy Spirit upon a shelf
WHY??
