Written In The Sand

Yesteryears and yesterdays..
Pass me by like a yet another phase
Wondering why and how..
Dreams are built here and now

Casulties may create the result..
What grows inside, its almost an exult
It is all within my minds imagination
The everlasting hope for another fantasy revelation

Striking from a clear blue sky
Like a hawk dive for its prey..bound to die
My sences at high alert as it fills the air
You shouldn`t be around..You shouldn`t be here

From richer days to poverty
You`ld never survived the hunger anarchy
The hunger, the everyday struggle for a better life
Just to experience your soul being cut open with a rusty ol`knife

You live your life on a road leading to nowhere
Satifying yourself without no one who really care
Your legend is written in the sand..
Would only last until the next wave reaches land

Hi Arild, your poem rocks with sopposites which keep the mind busy with the magic this creates. Made me sit up and take notice as I read it twice! Love, Lizzie

This is like filleting open your soul, Arild...that last line makes me feel as though everything I've worked hard for is in vain...hold back those waves! :) I also like the image of a hawk diving for its prey..It's inevitable, it's gonna die. It sure is great that we have heaven to look forward to, wouldn't you say? ...gwendolen

How fleeting are those moments Arild; that wave is always ready to take those portions of life we might cherish. BTW, I see you and Anne Lise are hubby and wife; it never clicked till I saw someone mention it. How special to have the two of you here! :)

Life can be uncertain and everyone wants a better or richer life for themselves and their offsprings..Sad that sometimes what we want is not what is best for us and our offsprings..Enjoyed reading this great work about a great topic that effects everyone..Thanks for stopping by, reading, and commenting on my work..Thanks for seeing something worthy of favs in it..Sara
