About This Poem
POWER OF THE PEN
The power of the pen
Properly used it begins
The scabbing if scars,
that's held within
Brighten the lights,
To a soul that has dimmed
The power of the pen
Placed in the hands,
Of one with vision
Becomes artwork,
Colored with each sentence
Visual cinema from a pupil incision
The power of the pen
Is the arteries,
To the heart of expression
Wether its guided affection
Or releasing aggression
The muted tongue, went numb
Then succumbed
As of now we're texting
A pen has no boundaries
It parallels the universe
Clear description of character
You're in a verse
Truth hurts,
But it improves
You, and your worth
Wanting to be known through our pen
Before, removed from this earth...
