At Night, in the Dark, and Sleepless

.



                                      Square in dark-blue
                                      A small piece of sky

                                      Through open window
                                      the inert night
                                       
                                      Obscure absence...
                                      just air and time 
                                      Not sure if I'm here

    Dear Ruben......you are always a stand-out. Not just in your poetry, but as a good guy! And I must return the compliment you recently paid me, when you mentioned "favorite" poets..... your heart always shines in both poems and comments......And I miss the old days, when it was easier to keep in touch.....but don't think I've ever stopped looking for your name. Thank you for always being so nice to me whenever you comment..........it never goes unnoticed. :)

    love this. Especially liked the words obscure and absence married like that. WEIGHTY for 'light' ;-) Only have a second. Must wake my girl for summer 'camp' (preschool, mornings, funtime!) thanks hon for all your generous comments when I am AWOL this week(s?) Summer is slippin' fast. Trying to latch on before it disappears.
