About This Poem
It's Back
My pen's dry spell is over.
The sunshine has made it so.
As I sit in the warm morning sun
the poetry starts to flow.
The rain and cold had dampened
mood and creativity as well
but the sunshine has released it
as if from a frozen spell.
Two feet from me is a hummingbird
enjoying the basket of flowers.
On the lawn below lies a cat
busily napping for hours.
Inspiration is back now.
