The worldwide cry

The worldwide cry.
From the four corners of the earth,
In the crowded street and lonely path,
One cry is heard,
A cry so sad

The cry of sons and mothers,
The cry of daughters and fathers,
Is that the monster within,
May not in us be seen

We cry for children in their childhood,
To keep their mortal fields so green,
We cry for adults in their adulthood,
To keep their bright linen clean

We cry for abstinence before marriage,
And faithfulness in marriage,
We cry for protection of life,
Before we all end in strife

Though our hearts bleed with sorrow,
Yes! we can hope for tomorrow,
For a new dawn has unfolded,
And the past hast been folded

Antiretrovirals is our new song,
What we had waited for so long,
Compliance is the key,
For the long life we hope to see

Better nutrition is the word in our lips,
Lest we all slumber and slip,
To infections ,
Worse than injections

We also cry to the one above,
The one we truly love,
For He wilt wipe our tears away,
So that long we wilt stay

Who wilt the ribbon mend,
And so our lives defend?

Who so brave can we send
To fight this monster to the end?

'Tis us all the affected,
As hands we join with the infected
