About This Poem

Portrait of Lily Rainbow

Written by Gail DeBole sometime in the late 1970's
Updated on June 24, 2012

Lily Rainbow, a summertime freak,
Was as bold as a mouse is meek.
    After caught in the rain,
She lived up to her name
With a gold pot tattooed on her cheek.

Quite an interesting poem. It made me laugh. I once knew a gal with a rose tattooed on her cheek, but not a gold pot. Thanks for sharing your work with us, Jancarl
