God's War

Evil all around
Wicked encircle the good
God sends his angels

Prince of peace arrives
Fiery flames from heaven
All armies destroyed

Tanks guns and missiles
Broken to bits and pieces
Strewn about the earth

Human rule ended
Kingdom of heaven prevails
Righteous ones remain.

Great message, Susan! Someday all our weapons and petty wars will come to a complete halt... as God steps up to the table (as if he wasn't already there all along)...

Susan, your poem rhymes well. The problem of salvation is that it is the self-righteous (aren't we all like this at times?) who think only they will be favoured by God! Susan, thanks for kind your comment on my haiku (26/4/13). Keep on writing! Peter 27/4/13

It's fought within each human soul. Upon our faces, we see the toll. The war within till death we part. So keep it tender, your precious heart. Wonderful poem Susan. Merry Christmas.

Very sobering message. In Revelations we are commanded to warn others of this coming day. I joyfully accept this most important of messages. Very eloquently expressed. The powers of hell can't prevail. Every Knee will Bow, every mouth will confess.

The images of truth are brilliantly displayed in order of our peril, or life with the Lord. BEAUTIFUL!

All four verses remind me of passages in the New Testament Book of Revelation. Each one is decently written.
