Living in a world that lost meaning
Where being righteous is demeaning
Where the truth is shut out, never to be heard
Where lies are in all our spoken words
Living, are we really?
Can our minds walk around freely?
Can we live without murder, torture or despair?
Do people even understand the concept of fair?
Loyalty, was killed by his best friend
Friendship, is no longer in style or trend
Faith's roots were chopped from the earth
Innocence is now lost instantly at birth
Hate is consuming the land
Betrayal, now, has the upper hand
Blasphemy is everyone's belief
Corruption is officially the greatest thief
In chaos, my brain cries
My heart thinks, but it fails and dies
My only relief, is singing blues
It is my escape, from a world with no values
