About This Poem

Chainsaw People

Noisy mankind
Riding mower machines.
Rip the cord. Rev the engine.

Bang the nail, throw debris.
Point the blower, louder, faster.
No one heard the angelus ring.

Everyone forgot to pray
The churches fell
And came the last day.

Oooo ... what a picture of modern day life... good mood produced... Terry (& thanks for your various kind comments... I have seen 'Black Swan', several times (except I must cover my eyes in certain scenes)... you're right it is an excellent film...)

Love all the obnoxious noises in this! But I hope this isn't prophetic!

A good reminder that we individuals have to share this planet with over seven billion others very much like us.

Your themes are so interesting and varied... I love it when writers refuse to be labelled, and you will never be guilty of THAT! A devastating final verse, and full, rich imagery. BRAVO Kathy!! Luv, Keith :)
