Incineration of Love God Madan Cupid 30

Incineration of Love God Madan Cupid 30
Originally written in Hindi by my late father Dr. Amar Nath Kapoor
1899 to 1994. The work was written in Hindi somewhere around 1965-70.

Editing and English version by Ravindra K Kapoor.

Hindi Title ‘Madan Dahan’ 30

The sin does not die O’ Lord,
By killing the sinners of society,
Sinfulness will continue to live,
In multifarious ways and colors.

Why not, hate sin O Lord,
Instead of hating the sinner,
Wisdom has taught us all,
This simple lesson, O dear Lord.

The body of my most dear husband,
Will soon be consumed by flames,
And my widowhood would then appear,
How then your boon would prove true.

Good afternoon, Ravindra.. Im pleased to find my self here on the soup today. I've been lost for sometime now. Much is expected from me out here in the real world. I don't know how to deal with everything going on.. However I have toooo... I really want to come drown myself here today,... I think it's time to hire another worker. One that can perform my job, without the question.. Thank you Ravindra, for the inspiration.. Missing your work, and the soup.. has lead me to the drastic measures.. Im about to endure.. I will be back once my mind is clear... Always..pd

A deep and complex thought in this Ravi, if the sinner could shape up we wouldn't have sin but that is just a dream unfortunately. Nice to bein touch again and hope all is well with you. LOve, Elizabeth

It's an interesting concept that this Lord hates the sinner in this story when in another culture it is the opposite. Is it just in this particular story of myth that the Lord hates the sinner?

You are right. This concept of hate the sin and not the sinner are unique in its approach in this story and are influenced perhaps by the teachings of Christianity. It was originally written by my father and I think you are right that this a unique concept not normally found in our cultural history.......Ravindra

I agree with Rati, hate the sin, not the sinner. Such wisdom is so appropriate today.

Rati the wife of Cupid Madan was still trying to convince "The sin does not die O’ Lord, By killing the sinners of society, Sinfulness will continue to live, In multifarious ways and colors “After reading these lines you would find how close and similar are the beautiful basic thoughts of life in all religions....Ravindra
