About This Poem
Sights and Sounds of Summer
Morning comes with the rising of the sun
Birds are sitting on the fence posts chirping
Flowers so beautiful and sweetly fragrant
Bees buzzing as they suck the nectar
By noon the sun is covering my space
Hummingbirds have arrived to be fed
Sipping the nectar without a sound except
for the wisp of their fluttering wings
Evening comes as the sun goes down
We hear the rabbits hopping and the
squirrels scurrying up the trees
The wind blows and the leaves rustle
Stars begin to twinkle up above as we
drift off to sleep
