About This Poem
Y Gene
Hidden behind a mask of mascara and blush,
To not let others know is such a rush.
Behind painted nails and perfumed spray,
Doesn’t quite seem to take the pain away.
Born a lie, a gender mistake,
A simple y gene makes for a heartbreak.
confusion born from nature's faux pas,
who you are is just the luck of the draw
I'm still human it doesn't change who I am,
I am who I am I don't give a damn.
I look in the mirror and like who I see,
The beautiful woman is just inside of me.
*To those that wonder if it is me, No this poem is fiction just thought it needed to be said.
