Uncommon Commons

Good morning Smeagol,

Or shall I say night,

The darkness outside,

Hinders my sight,

I'll just have some coffee,

Roll some tobacco

And deeply think twice,

Will this days seize,

Suffice for my cries.

So don't call me Golum,

I've done all I can,

Mr. Smeagol, no really,

You must understand,

The implications run deeply,

Within the domain,

Of good education,

That drives me insane,

                               Golum, Golum,

It looks like a hunch,

It's really just nothing,

Answers on paper,

They fill me with loathing,

                           Of course, yes, no, why?

                           You don't understand!

My downfall I know,

My precious words,

It just goes to show,

That I'm not deserved,

Fight fight, fight fight

But it feels so right!

When I'm all out of sight,

From this human blight,

                           Golum, Golum,

They scream so loudly!

On their black wyrms!

They want it, my ears!

I can't think, no, why?

Well yes I see clearly,

My future's nearly,

About to begin.

Yes I stand firmly,

To those near me,

Who want me to win.

                                Golum, Golum,

Precious words and work.

It's soon to be day,

Questions at hand

Rather I'd stay,

Lonely in bed

Golum, Golum, (with big shiny eyes)

But no my dear friends,

Life is at stake,

Do you want to eat bread?

Or do you fancy some cake?

Smeagol my dear,

For worlds, I don't care,

If only those wyrms,

Would give me a stare,

I will share my lovely precious,

With however gruesome the foe,

Solitary monsters I very well know.

Let them screech fiercely,

Make them want more,

Don't let me fail deeply,

Make apparitions ignore.

What I built firmly,

Gold is no more,

It seized to be neatly,

It must be adored!

Golum's my name and yes,

I'm obsessed, with treasures so great

In gods they manifest, and

No I don't care

For the rest of the pest,

That you call Smeagol

Which decays in its nest,

                                Golum!
