    Very sweet poem, my friend! The scent of butterscotch always sends me back in time too. I wonder if it will be the same for kids these days - will the scent of Skittles affect them the same way?... :)

    i like this poem. i was able to picture your great-grandmother opening those candies while sitting on a porch. well done!

    Thank you, David...and I agree. I would like to say more here. I actually wrote this for the childhood memory contest. And yes, I think I will try a tanka!
