About This Poem
In God's Control
This mortal sojourn leaves a trail of tears
The Truth of God’s Word calms all fears
Ruminating over the past brings sadness
Having a Heavenly focus yields gladness
Praying puts things in proper perspective
Worrying has no usefulness nor objective
Faith is strengthened through tribulation
Hope is restored in the joy of salvation
Peace is the reward to the trusting soul
Rest is full confidence in God’s control
