I'm mindful of a moment when I did a runner,
I'm mindful of a moment when I broke the yoke,
I'm mindful of a moment when I saw liberty,
I'm mindful of a moment when I thought that I was free,
I'm mindful of a moment when my world looked bigger,
I'm mindful of a moment when folk just didn't figure,
I'm mindful of a moment when life threw me a curve,
I'm mindful of a moment When I almost lost my nerve,
I'm mindful of a moment when life abandoned me,
I'm mindful of a moment when I wasn't really free,
I'm mindful of a moment when self pity held me down,
I'm mindful of a moment when my life got turned around,
I'm mindful of a moment when God looked in on me,
I'm mindful of a moment when He said worship Me,
I'm mindful of a moment when I saw the light,
I'm mindful of a moment when I saw God's pure delight,
I'm mindful of a moment when to God I came to stay,
I'm mindful of a moment, that moment is today.
