About This Poem
Heavenly King We Adore
Our God spoke His Creation into being
Evidences of His handiwork abound
Gave us life with purpose and meaning
In Him all fulfillment and joy is found
He gives us everything that we need
He knows every single thing we’ll say
The Holy Spirit for us will intercede
It is in His power that we must pray
God’s Word is not subject to change
Nor open to one’s own interpretation
Timeless Truth cannot be rearranged
Minimized to satisfy human wisdom
God chose to disclose Himself to man
Sent His Son Jesus to die in our place
His Sovereign Plan before time began
Shows us His love, mercy, and grace
Father God, Heavenly King We Adore
Now and throughout eternity the same
His Kingdom will endure forevermore
Praises, glory, and honor to His Name
