The Blood Moon's Killing Light

The forest has claimed the archer as its own child,
and named the fair and raven black of her, Cellibre.
She hides within the lair of lavender night bleeding,
wounded by the horrors of the blood moon's killing light.

And named, the fair and raven black of her, Cellibre,
she fights the villains bold within the deeper dells,
wounded by the horrors of the blood moon's killing light,
her onyx points bring blackheart's gangrenous souls to hell.

She fights the villains bold within the deeper dells,
stringing a mighty bow of oak and ash by Druids spelled.
Her onyx points bring blackheart's gangrenous souls to hell
upon the backs of will-o-wisps evil is dispelled.

Stringing a mighty bow of oak and ash by Druids spelled,
she hides within the lair of lavender night bleeding.
Her onyx points bring blackheart's gangrenous souls to hell.
The forest has claimed the archer as its own child.

Character: Cellibre

So dark and...archaic. Wonderful. So Debbie...question...if I have poems that I can't seem to label as anything....is that just free verse?

OOOh, now I like that you did a pantoum for Tracie. Suits the subject well. I love the play of light and dark... fair/raven, horror/light, will-o-wisps (light)/evil. Hope you are well. We have been spending this precious, sunny days out, out, out! Sidewalk chalk and city hall fountains, sandboxes and picnics. I am seriously POOPED. She has slept the past 3 nights without waking. HUZZAH. Hugs to you... I can't imagine Tracie not loving this. So rich in mood and full of the mystical.

I love this dark write, Debs. Gangrenous souls - excellent choice of words. Sorry - I've only just realised you asked me about Mothers' Day in England. No idea why they chose March - it's rather odd as Fathers' Day is on the same day as in America. Yes, we celebrate it the same as you guys : ) Hope you had a great one
