About This Poem
disjointed memories
happy (dead) mothers day
a fistfull of flowers for your resting place
didn't have time to know you
you were far swifter than your time,
just a few clips from an ancient reel
my your smile was sweet and wide
don't feel much anymore
time is fond of sweeping
heart and mind
under the floorboards
a piggyback ride
a cat named blue
a silver music box
is all there is of us
