My body sleeps alone at night
as gilded dreams drift
through sun kissed vines,
weaving pathways in my mind
A lowly crystal moon looks down
as gentle, murmurs of autumn
stir the window panes
Wood smoke, from ashes fire,
still linger on the breeze at dawn
as I, drift slowly, sailing to our
secret rendezvous ~ where you
and I ~ once more, share a kiss
wrapped, in early morning, new born mists.
In the closing of my eyes,
the pages turn on our life’s book
You reside though ghostly,
eternal at my side,
as to our island sails we raise
For what is time ~ but sand
endless in our hands
For on this shore I wait ~ no more
our love is incessant ~ a consuming flower.
The earth shall gift us fruits to bear,
sweet are the petals that know our names
The winds will pass and we shall take root
anchored to this earth to grow together
mouth on mouth our love was born
again ~ risen on this day...
