My Abba Always
Many pursuits I chased along the way
To quell the rising despair in my soul
Fighting to survive through the day
Fear choking me in its tight control
In the mystery of Your perfect will
In the scope of Your grand design
My heart’s tumult You made still
Your Son gave His life for mine
Your gift of salvation I cherish
Everlasting life I possess in You
For I surely would have perished
Had You not shown me the Truth
Who am I that You consider me
For it was You who loved me first
You forever changed my destiny
Freed me from sin’s eternal curse
Heavenly Father; My Glorious King
My words express to You my praise
An abiding gratitude to You I bring
My Eternal God; My Abba Always
