About This Poem
Rocking Chair
Rocking chair, rocking chair.
I remember when I was there.
When I was in your arms,
I was safe from all harms.
Rocking chair, rocking chair.
I know I will be there.
When I am old
I will be by a fire, never cold.
Rocking chair, rocking chair.
I once held whom for I care.
When she was on my arm,
I kept her safe and warm.
Rocking chair, rocking chair.
I will someday live there.
When I fondly remember,
I fall into peaceful slumber.
