Stone Votes

Why? What evil have they done?
Who would harm daughter or son?

As a nation we blindly and carelessly vote
for those who throw them from life’s boat.

But Christ, didn’t you say “Let the little children come to Me.”?
What is it even your supposed followers can’t see?

Your babies in the womb are afraid, condemned and alone.
Ask your Christians Jesus, “Who will cast the first stone?”

Short but says a lot about what is essentially murder. I'd like to cast a few stones as I hold life to be sacred.

Hello, Robert reading a few poems before i go to bed. Once again, you have much to say. And i love listening and reading. Much in this life is full of blame, and everyone wants to cast a stone or two. Now everything is about voting, even on a poor infants life.. No one will ever know the true way.. I'm always looking forward on stopping by, to read your latest and strong poetry... Good night~PD

Your voice needs to be heard Robert, These few lines pack a powerful message that not enough people will hear. I can't believe human beings can engage in this. So sad.

Hi Robert! Wow. How are u?....This is a wonderful poem ... Politically crafted with subtlety. A message needed to be heard..especially during this voting cycle. Let your conscience be your guide, right?....Enjoyed.. Gwendolen

This reads like a powerful stand against abortion. Very brave, and I agreee with your last line in particular.
