Another nice one... If I see enough of them, maybe I'll be brave enough to try... Terry

Terry to start off easy it's 5 syllables in the first line 7 in the second line and 5 in the third either 1&2 or 2&3 need to make a sentence and the odd one is to be a phrase obvious that it is by its self. The phrase should seem unattached but is obscurely.

Thanks for reading my haiku.Yes traditional haiku usually stick to 5/7/5 and with a nature element. But you can also do it with any syllables from 10 to 17(total) and also without some nature element:)

I was trying to help another Terry but I am not as well adversed at this as you. Would it be ok for me to send him to you for help in learning to do Haiku? I have been reading over our exchanges. You know you really are patient and kind man. Huggs TLee

This one very good. Do you remember the movie where Kevin Costner was a golfer. And in the club house his girl friend bet that Kevin could put a ball on the floor and hit it out of the door over a handrail, but below the roof overhang and knock a pelican off of a piling on the other side of the club house pond. That is what I saw when i read it.

You are talking about Tin Cup I think and I hadn't thought about that when I wrote this. I didn't think now that you mention it that pelicans hung out anywhere except by the sea. In fact that is why I chose this bird in this Haiku to denote that it was a sea harbor.
