Knowing

Listen! can you hear them?
  Those sure soft sandaled steps.
Trudging down the dusty roads
To teach God's Word in depth.
Yet knowing, always knowing,
What the end of it would be.
Knowing He was surely walking,
   to Calvary's bloody tree.
Then knowing, really knowing
   the resurrection power
Of Father, Son, and Spirit ,
   quietly waiting for the hour
When Angels would remove the stone
and the tomb would open wide.
Mary would survey the tomb
   and give a stricken cry,
"My Master's gone,He is not there
   My Lord is not inside."
The angel softly told her,
   " Mary, do not fret
Your Lord is risen,He's not dead,
   Your Master liveth yet!"
