The Widower's Garden

He waters spring seedlings to the singing of robins returned, yet winter's frost still lingers in his mind.

    Wowie, if only I'd thought of this. This tiny form was so befuddling for me, I never could get around to it!! Best I've seen so far. Oh, and thanks for your placement of my poem in your contest.

    such a bittersweet one this is, the contrast between the spring seedlings and winter's frost is so poignant, says so much in nine short lines...many thanks for my placement in your contest, such a high standard and so many great poems, I've enjoyed reading them :-)

    Winter frost will always linger somehow.. but on the otherhand the robins will still return to sing..Nice one Chris :)

    Oh shucks, this sure is a poignant write, but it also implies true love-- kind of reminded me of my grandpa...beautiful ninette, Chris! Btw, thank you very much for my placement in your contest :)... dadgumit, the kisses I put in your blog didn't work as well as I thought it would?! Lol, I'm kidding :D!     oh btw, as for the words that can double up as other words, eep, I don't know what they're called, it escapes me right now-- hmm imposters? Twins? Doppelgangers?? I don't know :D! haha.
