Reading between these poetic lines doused with historical and theatrical hues!...I feel like cursing,....screaming,....anything to release this emotion that I have all bottled up inside....JUST LOOK what this emotive poem has done to ME!! ha ha..I feel as tho your poem could be the most carefully orchestrated pill to treat any form of oppression felt here on the soup...I love it..I love it...I love it !! Draggin' it to my padded cell where I am locked up til I learn to deal with my own emotions!! Love ya, Chris! Gwendolen

Chris .love does crazy things to a man especially a hard nose bad ass like me and my wife has shown me a new side of life thru her love and smile and kind heart so I can only repay her by helping her do the thing she loves the most which is writing. thank you . Ron.

Chris this is truly powerful. I love the vivid picture you portray w/ prancing around on stage and shining the medal-just excellent. I am very happy to be among your winners-I hoped you would like my wacky one and hell, 10th is just fine for me. I think I've been 10th in your last 2 contests though! I'm going to go for 9th in your next one. :) Thanks again and also for your fun comment on my blog. Have a great weekend :)

Oh, last thought, yes my ideals are bloody. Some are black and blue. Some mewl. Some roar. And some give the bird when the bird is due. My book had chapters that you didn't see. Past texts that were rammed under my door by the author I addressed, which wasn't you. Anyways, peace, Cyndi

Well, I knew, as I'm sure you did, that eventually we would lock horns. I'm as comfortable in my skin as you are in yours, and being an idealist is the result of having lots of ugly and painful realism pounded (literally) into me;it is how I survived. This poem is well written. All your poems are. Now, as far as Western haiku goes, I'm certain your "cut off the roots/ sever ties with the past" theory has been stated before. I see your point. Thought you saw mine--at least my intentions. Cyndi

"Duu-duu-duu-duu.../Duu-duu-duu-duu.../Duu-duu- duu-duu.../Aaa-aaaa/I need a hero/I’m holding on for a hero ‘til the end of the night" ...Bonnie Tyler! : ) Let's change the topic, the subject, the theme... let's write a nonet with 8 lines! ; ) Peace and Love. Ruben.

Oh nuts! Where's Woodstock?? I thought this was about Snoopy and the gang :)-- lol just had to say that :D-- Now I am thinking honey-roasted peanuts and peanut brittle...Seriously, yes, it is sad when people point fingers and not see themselves first. We all have our flaws. What you say in your 6th stanza really struck me and how you ended this leaves something to ponder on, yes sometimes those rights get pushed over the edge...

Aye...sad this is...I've met too many "Saint-lies" in my have always been honest about your human flaws though, that much I know...most of us are liars and thieves at some point, sometimes without even knowing it... right, left...ok, ok, stopping my blabbering right here...You certainly have a silver-tongue gift. :)
