About This Poem
THE LAST DANCE
`` `` ``
Her feet fly, skirts billow skimming night hours;
The world is dimmed, his heart skims in a trance.
Struck by her beauty, down sparkling showers,
Beckon'd her to his arms for his last dance.
Fingertips scarce touch, her his soft eyes glance.
Then swirling on wings divine love is born;
Bedew'd feet dance till the night is worn.
Her teasing toes imprinting tiny charms
On a heart aflutter, riding with the morn;
As desire swarms folded in circled arms.
