About This Poem

My First Car

That good ol`1973 Dodge Dart
Sure could kick like a dynamite fart
Holy commoly..There was a lot of fun back then
Finally konked down on me,it was always a question of when

Wow! I like your poem. I remember my first car (second hand) which I just bought by installment basis. I haven't seen yet because my younger brother took charge of buying it from the dealer. But, he told me it's good. I hope I will be inspired to write another poem when I'll go back home and see that car. Thanks for sharing.

Arlid, dodge is my favorite car. ( not this one) I had one for 5 years. AND Holy commoly it did not survive another year. ha ha! I like your poem. It's the best soiled poem out here~ ha ha!! Easy to relate toooo!! Only cuz I had it in my mind. How long till it would leave me on the side of the road. Is it just me, or did i just have an image of a farting car ;-) you jabbed me one with the word fart. It takes, real guts, to use that word, and make it rhyme for that matter. Good night~ Always*PD

Yep! Here in Michigan the salt used on highways will get a car before old age. I had a Ford Torino that lasted forever. Salt finally got it. Enjoyed. Love, daver
