Selkie

I surface wading mythical waves calling you close to my sea-smoothed form shrugging pelt to shimmering shoreline craving your kiss, emotions unclothed ocean gifts sing silver-edged secrets shells seal-slippery in my cupped palms each seashell a pearlescent promise to return when mystic tides flow in

A British group who called themselves "The Selkie" had a hit record with "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", which was originally written by John Lennon. This is a good write. Congratulations on your first place finish.

that's really neat how you made it more about the selkie and used the seashell as an aside. I have seen poems on these mythical creatures before, so I knew what you were describing. I adore your last stanza!!
