TEA POT PUDDLE

What e'er the fixins, I deem not
I always overfill the Pot
gone through so many, gadgets got
that one small puddle turns the lot!

I'd like to say I saved the rain
and sound outdoorsey, not complain
and saurkraut on back porch saved
those little things my stomach craves!

There must be five, this year alone
the pots I save ~ appliance gone.
How simple can a brewer's luck
deface your pride, the gadget's stuck!

The smallest remedy, I chuck
look where I pour ~ the balance same
. . . To Here . . is all I need to tuck
within my feeble, long-lived brain!

Oh no ~ the light just won't go on
while underneath, the fluid runs
quick wipe it up ~ we've just begun,
Too late ~ old bugger ~ it's undone!
