Roaming These Lands
Often I cry these tears,
Trying to wash away my fears.
Preparing myself for the worst,
With a feeling my heart may burst.
Forcing my heart into remorse,
Hoping It will stay on course.
Always walking to a bright new day,
Where the pain will keep at bay.
As the winds stretch through my soul,
My heart sets on a new goal.
I looked at myself in the mirror,
As death rolls closer and nearer.
I traveled through the angry lands,
While angels call out hopeful demands.
Looking up into the sky,
Closing my eyes as I see the doves cry.
Gliding onto each stepping-stone,
As fate grows carelessly more prone.
In these lands I still roam,
No matter how much desire is shown.
