Son of the Dragon

Was long and long ago
this man was know by all
who lost his love, his everything
from a castle she did fall.
His death a lie by enemies,
and sorrow could not take
she left this life in sad distress
for love and lovers sake.
In pain, he raged against the Lord
and struck his servant down
his curse, the blood that he spilled
for blood, would be renowned.
A Prince he was, a Prince remained,
but only of the night.
And through all time, he'd walk alone
and never see the light.

Wow! You sure brought the picture of Count Dracula within this piece. I could see his one true love falling from the castle wall and feel the rage expressed at her loss. Great write. Melody
