Empty Mirror

Empty Mirror

I want no trouble,
I see nothing,
Is anyone there?

Empty & Hollow.
Easy to break,
No longer sad.

Invisible beauty,
Can't feel a thing.
Is anyone there?

Happy Valentine's.... xox~

Intensely relatable...I wrote something similar to this a long time ago called "the man in the mirror"...I love pieces like this, about struggling with identity or your "place" in the world. This is very powerful, in all it's simplicity...well done

Linda This write is emotional and sentimental. Sometimes we all seem invisible and sad and just want to be noticed and not feel lonely anymore. Very deep words. Nice job my friend Thanks for the wonderful comment on my Rumors poem Hugs

I have always had trouble with self identity. How I look on the outside, does not reflect who I am on the inside. I wish my true self was easier to see!...A very deep poem, Linda. I really enjoyed reading it!....You might like my new poem titled, "Dark Angel". It deals with the same subject of self identity.

Destroyer Is there truly ever anyone there , I too want no trouble and can not feel a thing, So too do I tell myself, but in life mirrors burn like hell that is the trouble, On the periphery of lifes bubble. Nite nite god bless peace is out there.

I had missed this precious Gem my friend. So deep so lovely and so intriguing a write revealing the often faced reality of life, which often get clear when we stand before the mirror and feel so empty sometimes. The last line ask a lot more than the? mark. Great one from you amazing pen and thank you for your precious words on my series Poem and finding it interesting. Love and best wishes always....Ravindra....Poet .D

This is exactly how I feel when I am alone and sad and there seems to be no one in the mirror but tears.

This poem reminded me slightly of the song Breathe No More by Evanescence. That tune went through my mind as I read this amazing poem. Very awesome. ~Laura
