If nothing else, I have found you

If nothing else,
I have found you,
my destined, immortal dream.

I combed through every blade of grass,
Swam against every crashing wave,
I soared over every passing cloud,
At every crossing star I gazed.

When butterflies took me away,
Far beyond the furthest star,
You were the flower we floated to,
Shining brighter than the brightest quasar.

You are the heart inside my heart,
The soul within my soul,
You are the only breath I breathe,
The diamond hidden in my coal.

Venustas immortalis—
Te demum reperi.
