Song of the Bride

My Lord is he who sits on the throne
I await his return to enter his home
I am unworthy my Lord to recieve your grace
a slave in the world has been my place

Why would the lowly you engage
the house of sin has been my cage
you purchased me and gave me leave
into your freedom I was recieved

You washed me clean and gave me robes
the colors of the fields are now my clothes
the strength of your soul must I seek
for I am abject and very weak

Tears of joy do stream my face
within your mansion I have found a place
a humble servant you have lifted high
Your tender mercies shape my cry

Master you are and will remain
favor of countenance do I gain
Instruct me my Lord in your ways
In your house I will find length of days

I am far from home it is my fear
that I will fail before redemptions here
await I for the chariots carriage
to be recieved and prepared for marriage

My Lord and King tarry not long
for my desire is to sing your song
with exultation and joy within your grace
awaiting am I to look upon your face
