About This Poem
Just a glance
It was not so much the look… but more how you didn’t look
You shied away discreetly… alone in your private space
Though instantly attracted…. You, the centre of my dreams
My head isolated noise… as I glanced towards your smile
A knowing look sent shivers… coldly rushing down my spine
Hiding a smile is quite hard ….when it’s bouncing off the walls
Illuminating your face……. and the inside of my heart!
Your eyes wove a magic spell… a true goddess of the night
My eyes enraptured by you….feeling my breath drift away
I could feel my hand stretch out….to gently caress your hand
Taking those few vital steps…..to ensure that you were mine
Finally our eyes did meet…from that moment our love sealed
That minute I was captured…. I shall take it to my grave!
Until then I wake daily… spellbound at your wondrous smile.
