I Think I'll Stay

She fills me up with a million words
And I admit that I hate to wait
I'm counting down like it's in slow motion
Until a time when I can see her face

Like a birdsong her voice beacons
For time with her that I just can't skip
She's got a hold on me I reckon
Cause she can trap me with a kiss

I'm dignified like a man who gained
Everything through the sands of time
Now I have nothing left to wait for
If she can say her heart is mine

I am standing and I'm pleading
At her bedside here again
Never hearing words so sweet
That her and I could never end

So I feel stricken like she broke me
Cause she won't say I'm not the one
She might be playing games with love
But I'll be here until she's done

ah love is the magic of the universe, without it shades of grey the curse, so keep it right ...this sweet delight, cos happiness can disperse...

Oh woe! It was so positive till a change of mind! But then, that's a woman's privilege so they say. I think persistance pays off; I love the twists and turns in this Kyle you did a great job. P S The book has 176 pages; I think just a sample of poems are shown. Thanks for asking! Lizzie
