The Sweetest Kiss

                         I said goodbye..with a kiss..
                  she never knew...I left..
                           I sat..in an overstuffed chair..
                 she..talked..and laughed...
                            I slowly walked away..
                her voice..faded..with each step..
                              She always loved me..
even now..She waits ...for me to return..
I couldn't bare to tell her..
                  I was never even there..
                       When..first she held my hand..
                 I once..even shed a tear...
                       hoping she would understand..
She thought it was love ..that I felt..
                 Mostly it was fear..
                     I made a mystery..for her to solve..
I never meant ..to hurt her..
                      my broken heart..had long disolved..
In the whisky that I drank..
The Sweetest Kiss..I ever felt..Miss bourbon was her name.
