About This Poem
YOUR WAITER
With kind eyes
And gentle soul,
You brought
Flowers,
Soft words,
And sweet touches . . .
To my table.
You filled my empty heart
And hungry spirit.
You brightened
My drab and lonely world.
You touched
The hurting places . . .
At my table.
. . . Now . .
With sad eyes
And silent words,
You come to me.
My friend,
I’m filled and strong,
Let me,
Your waiter be.
