Mossy Boulder

Formation of a lush mossy garden
Surrounding a large mossy boulder
Years have come and gone across the morning sky
Sunrise palette red, yellow and orange glowing streaks
Shade and moisture makes the conditions right
Excellent compost materials nuture and thrive
Nature has other chances to arive
A beautiful scene across the garden
Successful can only transform
Colors and textures galore
Simple pleasures in my found treasure
Garden with a heart of stone

Doris..I think you are a serious gardener after reading this one. Just great. The fact you are writing more of nurturing the garden with compost is to my heart's delight. ONly 12 plus more weeks if you are in the midwest with me. lol. Check out my silly garden poem if you get time..I Love Dirt!..I was feeling just like you. h aha.

I know you have heard the old cliche "A rolling stone gathers no moss". If the boulder is stationary, then the moss and other growth have a chance. This is a decently descriptive piece.

This is really cool. I love my garden too and I have a really big back yard. We have made it a butterfly garden with two circular shapped gardens in the center. In the center of each of these are large decorative rocks around which we planted flowers that encourage the butterflys and dragonflys to come. Love this. God Bless, JB
