A Miserable Soul

Alone I walk in desolate lands..
feeling wasted, full of regrets...
unable to turn the hands of time,
nor defying the wrath of fate...
For my life has all been said..
I cry in vain when night falls...
Watching gleams of lovely stars,
that was never meant for me..
Close to home, I couldn’t say..
for I am feeling oh so far away..
I can only dream of true love...
the passion that flourishes within,
when two loving souls touched...
How I yearn the comfort it brings,
can never be felt by no other...
I adore the moments of childhood,
When the days are of happiness...
and life’s simply a tale of fantasy..
Or eyes that sees no uncertainty..
with desires of pure innocence...
Every waking moment seems harsh,
Every stare at the light is glaring..
Flowing river’s mournful in rhyme..
and skies seems gloomy in blue..
While life’s nothing but misery..
Now here I stand with no courage,
in facing the haunting darkness...
but the fear of walking all alone..
with shadows and tears of sorrow,
Merely as the weakling I am...
