The Miracle Of Life

The Miracle of Life When he was born the doctors informed me he wouldn’t survived more than a year Sadly they said he would never be able to talk As I stood patiently waiting through every tear They also said he would never be able to walk Then suddenly after four months I heard him say mama and my heart filled with joy I knew at that moment that Jesus stood by his side Healing the disease that was designed to kill my precious boy My boy was given the miracle of life At six months old he began to take his first step right in front of me Again I witness a miracle happening and my tears came endlessly down, As the doctors couldn’t explain how he healed without any sign of a disease Jesus healed my baby boy all safe and sound Today at eighteen years old I watch him graduate from high school with good grades How happy I am to see him walking to receive his diploma How proud I am to hear him speaking at the podium in front of his classmates When eighteen years ago I was told he would have been in a coma I am grateful that Jesus carried my precious boy down the road to recovery And gave me the strength to keep on believing that everything was going to be all right When you have faith in Jesus there’s an important discovery He creates miracles before our very eyes…
This is just a made up poem, but I'm sure experiences like these happen.

The mark of a good writer is making fiction seem like reality. You have accomplished that here with this entry.

Regardless if this fictional or a true story...the spirit of your strong faith, and love comes shining through each line. Lovely!

as Vienna say kick out the very doubt, till it does cease to be, when faith is strong , keep right along, till doubt does set you free... thanks Gail..

Well, Gail, you do a terrific job in empathizing with the narrator and having this "made up poem" come across as a very personal and real experience. Being able to aptly relay such a heartfelt story of a fictional character, I think, is the mark of a truly talented writer. You successfully pulled that off with, "The Miracle of Life". Good job.
