My Diverging Life
I’m in a boat on a river, ahead diverging in two directions,
To the left, calm and still,
To the right, an angry falls.
I started to shutter, for I had to make a decision.
On the left is soft green grass,
On the right is a dark forest.
I thought of what to consider, for my final mission.
In the left, a house with a picket fence,
In the right, wild animals that roam the night.
At the last second I turned the swivel, my ambition,
Led me to the right; what an exciting life.
