'Main Character or Maybe Not'

deep down hidden just beneath the coverings of my heart lies the hurt and pain hidden behind that smile the fear loneliness and confusion the battle between moving on and sticking around in all this I feel like I am watching a trailer of someone else's life it feels so much better being part of the audience instead of the main character 010120122015

So glad the first part isn't you; last line was a neat reavelation! Hey Wilma, in your avatar, is that a crocodile or a river? I liked the one of you best of all sweet girl! :)

Great. Great. Great!!! I felt it knew it and loved it. And it affected me. Yes I am the main charactar and all my poetry is about me and my sad story. And this poem says just that. John henry loving iii

An interesting concept, feeling better to be part of the audience than a main character. Good one, Wilma!

Ah yes, I can relate to this one, Wilma. Hmmmm, in the end I enjoy taking one of the leading roles, but sitting back in the audience can really work at times for me. Funny how a shorter poem like this really had me pondering. You did a great job adding some bite to chew over, in so few words - free verse minimalism - I dig it :D

Clever idea for a poem, Wilma,....the good thing is this...if you are the playwright and the director u can write the ending ANY WAY U CHOOSE> Choose a great ending....it's in the power of your pen. Happy New Year, dear. Let's make it grand!! Love, Gwendolen
