MIRRORS

Flashbacks, memories,
Letters, albums, videos,
All meaning the same thing,
Missing pieces of our present state,
Unknown parts of our coming future,
Broken mirror pieces.

A cracked ruin wall,
A replica of my past,
Each crack a mistake,
Too great to cover up,
Then my life, like the wall,
Shattered into pieces.

Many are the debris,
Like the tears I’ve shed,
A glance at each piece,
Reflecting a different scenario,
With identical faces,
Full of sadness and tears,

Reaching out to broken mirror pieces,
And again I smash them,
But my mind runs wild,
Because the result is wanting,
More faces, more tears,
More broken mirror pieces.
